What is keratin and what are BioNaza Keratin products for?

Keratin is the protein that our hair consists of, also found in nails and skin. The Brazilians have been using keratin-based products for the last 15 years to straighten their curly native hair, with excellent results. From there it came to the U.S. and now we are beginning to see its effects in Europe, Asia and Africa.

Above all, the keratin is used to restore damaged or wavy hair, completely eliminate frizz and, of course, to straighten even the curliest hair.

Who can offer these treatments?

The BioNaza Brazilian Keratin System should be applied by a trained professional. BioNaza offers training course for professionals who have not yet worked with keratin, and those who want to perfect the art of beautiful hair.

How long does it take to complete the treatment?

The BioNaza Brazilian Keratin System takes between 60 and 90 minutes to complete the treatment.

Are all keratins the same?

No, the best products are based on nanomolecules of keratin (the size of human hair). The nanomolecules of keratin, because of its molecular size, penetrate deeply into the core of the hair. The animal, vegetable or synthetic keratin does not offer the ideal size of molecule and does not show the same results. These products are much cheaper and should be applied and sealed in a different manner, therefore it takes considerably longer.

Is the BioNaza Brazilian Keratin System a relaxer?

No, it is a keratin-based treatment that naturally helps straighten the hair and make it more manageable.

Does BioNaza offer a formaldehyde free formula?

Yes, Diamond Keratin is formaldehyde free.

When re-applying the treatment should I apply to the whole head or just on the new hair growth?

It should be applied to the entire head without having to worry about any damage to your hair. In fact, the accumulation of keratin helps improve the texture of the hair. It is recommended that the client refreshes the treatment every four to six weeks to keep the hair looking like the first day.

When can I wash my hair post treatment?

There is no processing time and the hair can be washed on the same day of application.

Can we safely use your products on someone with a permanent wave or chemically-treated hair?

Yes, BioNaza Brazilian Keratin System can be safely used with any hair treatment on the market.

Can I apply color and/or highlights the same day of the treatment?

Yes, the BioNaza Brazilian Keratin System can be safely used on the same day after hair coloring and highlights. For best results, it is recommended that color be applied prior to keratin application. If keratin is applied on the same day as color, rinse hair and wash with BioNaza Daily Shampoo to remove hair dye excess and proceed to step 2 (towel dry and apply).

What if I want a hair without frizz, but soft and with natural waves?

Certain application techniques and our variety of products will allow you to customize the results to your client’s desire. BioNaza works with the stylist to offer variety and flexibility to what the client wants.

If the client wants to go to the pool or the beach with the BioNaza Brazilian Keratin Treatment System, what do you recommend?

To help maintain the effects of the treatment it is important to wash the hair after swimming with BioNaza Shampoo and Conditioner.

Can I use the products in children and pregnant women?

In both cases, you should always consult your physician.

What shampoo and conditioner should be used after the treatment in order to prolong its effects?

We strongly recommend using BioNaza Daily Shampoos and Conditioners, as they are sodium and sulfate free and contain a substantial amount of nanomolecules of keratin to help prolong the effect of the BioNaza Keratin System.
